Academy learning app now on mobile

Every Academy course is now available in our mobile app for Apple and Android phones. Progress syncs with My Academy, and you can download modules to study offline.

Our learning app is now out of testing and available to every member and student, free of charge, from the usual app stores for Apple and Android phones.

What it does

The app gives you every course you have booked, in the same order and with the same quizzes as the website. Your place is saved as you go, so you can start a module on the bus and finish it on your laptop. You can download up to five modules at a time to study without a signal, and your answers sync when you are back online.

You can also watch webinar recordings, read the member library and check your learning hours. Exams are not available in the app, because our online invigilation needs a laptop or desktop computer with a camera.

Built with members

More than 200 members tested early versions over the spring. Their feedback changed a lot. We added a text-size control, a dark mode and transcripts for every video. Testers who use screen readers helped us fix the order of controls on quiz screens, which had been confusing.

"The most common request was simply to stop losing progress," says Owen Griffiths, our Platform Lead. "That was the first thing we fixed."

Getting started

Search for "Academy Learning" in your app store and sign in with your My Academy username and password. If you have forgotten your password, reset it on the website first.

The app collects only what it needs to save your progress. It does not use advertising trackers. Our privacy notice explains what we hold and why.
